Don't Let Small Chips Become a Big Problem

Why Repair a Rock Chip?

Neglecting to fix even the smallest rock chips can cause them to get bigger and split out. Cold temperatures and temperature fluctuations almost always result in chips turning into cracks. Something as simple as movement can make a chip spread and cause more damage. The bigger a chip, the more likely it is that your windshield will fail.

How Effective is Rock Chip Repair?

Not all chips and cracks can be repaired. Chips that are smaller than a quarter and cracks that are smaller than a dollar bill can usually be fixed. If you have a larger chip, the repair will be more visible, and a smaller one is less visible. A chip repair does not remove the break from your windshield. It only bonds to the broken glass to strengthen it. You will always be able to see some part of the damage after the repair is complete.

Rock Chip Agreement

After the rock chip is repaired you may still see where the chip is located once the repair is complete. The purpose of a repair is to restore the structural integrity of the glass and prevent it from spreading. Since we are working with glass that is already broken, during the repair, there is always a possibility that the chip could spread. If that should happen, we will not charge you or your insurance for the attempted repair.
